Orion Nebula

All through our New England winter Orion rises in the east during the twilight hours and hovers above us—a cold and silent observer. We often learn about the Orion constellation as children due to its early evening appearance in the sky and the handy orientation of Orion’s Belt—the three star line-up that draws the eye to it. Even city dwellers who rarely see clear star fields can recognize the constellation of Orion because of its very bright stars—among the brightest in our view from earth.
